Sometimes the main menu and links seem to take me to different areas depending on whether I am logged in or not. Is this correct?
Yes! This is because members have full access to the site whereas non-members, or those who are not logged in, do not.
For example, Non Members are not able to set-up full Profile Pages or have personal chats with our Members.
Our main menu will also automatically change depending on whether you are logged in and your member level when you are logged in.
If you click on some links or try to open bookmarked pages when not logged in you may be taken to a "please log in page" first.
The best way to totally enjoy our site is to be nominated and apply to be Member right from the start and gain full uninterrupted access.
Why are some menu items 'greyed out' and disabled?
As above, members have full access to the site whereas non-members, or those who are not logged in, do not.
Our main menu will also automatically change depending on whether you are logged in and your member level when you are logged in.

When I look at this site on different devices, some make the site really hard to read and navigate. Why is this?
One of the problems with fully responsive website design is with trying to deal with all of the different viewport sizes, ratios and screen resolutions.
For this reason, websites can come up differently and in a different manner than intended on various devices.
We are working very hard to provide the best user experience possible for all of our members.
Hopefully we have covered all of the possibilities, but it is very hard to do this without us viewing and testing the site on every device and screen size that is in use.
Obviously that is neither practical or possible for us.
So if you see something a bit "out-of-whack" or find the fonts, buttons, etc. either too big, too small, too close together or anything that is just plain annoying please let us know.
Just eMail our support@mybusiness-mylife.com team with the make and model of the device you are using, an outline of the problem and preferably a screen shot and we will do all we can to immediately fix it for everybody.
How do I comment through the Disqus comment system?
If you are a member of our site, make sure that you log-in first.
If your mybusiness-mylife nickname does not show at the top right of the Disqus area and your profile image does not display to the left of the next available comment field, press or click on the drop down menu at the right of the small comment bubble. This will bring up your log-in options.
Choose the top "mybusiness-mylife" option and this should then log you into Disqus using your membership nickname. You should then see your nickname and profile image (if you have uploaded one).
If your nickname and profile image still do not display, refresh your browser and it should then appear.
Having performed the above routine, your nickname and profile image should automatically appear from this point onwards.
If you are not a member of our site, then you should be, so what is stopping you?
However, if you are in a public area or have been provided limited access to a blog page, press or click on the drop down menu at the right of the small comment bubble. This will bring up your log-in options.
You can then choose to log-in to Disqus using another social media membership.
PLEASE NOTE: Currently, all comments received are moderated and may take a short time to appear.
Why should I become a member?
We are all now finding that with many Social Media sites there is a whole new move towards restricting free speech, discussion and the exchange of information. Many members hide behind their fake accounts which also provide no opportunity to advance meaningful and mutually rewarding business relationships.
We believe that free speech should be encouraged - with two provisos, that it is exchanged with with a focus on mutual respect and genuine helpfulness and understanding. We want to create an environment for free and open expression towards shared learning and business and personal development.
There is no opportunity for 'trophy hunting' to see who can amass the most 'friends' or contacts here, all members are free and actually encouraged to interact between each other at any time.
But this still does not mean that you are free to SPAM or openly solicit others. We have processes and opportunities for you to promote your business and yourself to others without you intruding on them.
No matter how old you are, or developed your business is, there is always the opportunity for learning, or at the very least mentoring others towards enjoying your same successes and celebrations.
Just as in the 'real' world, you earn your own respect and credibility. Human nature is such that others will always judge you on what you say or do, you don't need us creating a 'Nanny Site' to isolate you from that. Be true to yourself, freely express your ideas and thoughts, but also allow others to express theirs without bringing personalities and 'political correctness' into the conversations.
The attempted labeling and name calling of others with words that end in "ist', 'phobic', and 'got' has no place or relevance to the conversation here, so don't use them. Again, its all about respect for others and their opinions. Use logical expression and debate if you don't agree with them, not name calling.
There is also no such thing as 'unfriending' or 'blocking' here - we all seek to work together and in harmony with each other. We are all business orientated adults with mutual and complimentary goals, not temper tantrum prone children.
Becoming a member of the site gives you access to our dedicated areas where all things relating to your business, your life and the awareness of the environment around you are discussed and ideas, opportunities and opinions are actively shared.
When you join you are no longer alone and isolated from the things and the people who matter to you and your efforts to achieve your own success and happiness.
Therefore, if all these things are meaningful, if not a breath of fresh air, to you you should seriously consider being nominated or applying for membership right now!
So what's in it for me?
Quick answer - a real and meaningful opportunity to achieve business and personal growth and lifelong happiness!
We have started off with the the time proven basics - Blogs, Forums and a Members Lobby in each area, where you can chat privately or in groups with other members. That way you can 'Show off' your business achievements or expertise with a blog post, answering a question in a forum, or simply by being 'present' and contributing in a lobby discussion.
Member search, 'who's online' and personal file sharing are also readily available throughout the site.
We will then look to add webinars, podcasts and video conferencing as well as exploring any other avenues that technology or real life provides to open up a greater level of participation, discussion and shared learning.
In essence, it's your 24/7 networking destination that is always here to provide you with opportunities and immediate support.
What's involved?
Given the short term acceptance and success of another recently released 'social media' app, we are not too ashamed to say the we are happy to adopt some of their membership strategies.
We believe member integrity and a balanced and initially controlled level of membership is extremely important to the ongoing success of our site.
Therefore we have decided to make membership available through personal invitation and application.
We want to try to achieve a good spread of age, gender and business types and professions. We don't think that much can be gained by being 'top heavy' in any one area. It is with diversity of opinion and experience where we think that real growth through idea sharing can be gained. It also increases the availability of shared and mutual opportunities.
And while we mentioned below our adversity to promoting 'FOMO' our initial membership is limited to just 100 business owners. So if you want to get in on the ground floor, register your expressions of interest now!
I really want to be a member, how do I join?.
Congratulations on your tenacity to get this far.
The first very thing we ask of you is your real name and your valid eMail address.
How much does membership cost?
We are not charging any Membership Fees at this time and we aim to keep the site free with your support of the products and services advertised here by our members and business partners.
So, if I do not have to pay as a full member, why do you have a 90 day trial membership?
For full membership, we do ask a few more questions about you. But we can understand if you need to get to know us better first before you give us that additional information.
Plus, when the opportunity arises, we would like to have a group of special members who we can reward special deals or discounts to and we believe that there are no better people than those who support us from the very beginning.
What is a Member Profile Page?
Your Member Profile Page is a great way for you to showcase your business and yourself to our other members.
We have a very strict anti-spam policy on our site, however your Member Profile Page is the one place where our other members can learn more about you and what you do.
Of course, one other way for members to learn about your expertise and interests is by participating in our forums, commenting on our blogs or even writing your own blog pages here - please see more information on that below and from our main menu.

What if I don't have images of the size required or if I am unable to crop them to the required sizes?

This page gives you access to all of the images that you have uploaded and will allow you to re-size and/or crop them on-the-fly without any further need to upload them again.
You can re-size the images to a larger image but please be aware that this can greatly reduce the image quality. It is better to start with a larger image and crop it to size.

Your Foundation Member profile page also allows you to create bios of up to 320 characters for each of your profile headers. These are,

It is not to be used for blatant advertising.

My Environment Bio
This is a short bio about the environment in which you live and/or where you conduct your business.
Your Environment Header image spans the top of your Environment profile.
These can be changed or updated at any time, but it is recommended that for best results you take some time to make them interesting and informative.
We are certainly not asking you to divulge everything here, but it is good to also keep in mind that the more others feel that they know you personally as a friend, the more comfortable they are in interacting with you.
And that is what we really want it to be all about here - shared learning, in a relaxed, open and friendly environment.

What is planned for Advertising Opportunities on this site?
With the rapid changes in technology, this site will always be under constant development towards providing the best outcomes and enjoyment for its members.
However, right at this time, we have completed the initial prototype and have now entered the beta development phase.
We are currently in beta 6 phase, which means that new members are now able to sign up, fully complete their profile pages and introduce themselves in the members lobby and view the profiles of other members.
It also sees the completion of our Blog Contributions system where members can submit blogs in advance for our blog pages.
We have stripped out most of the JavaScript prototyping tools that we have used and have retrofitted the site onto the Bootstrap platform.
This should see significant improvements in response times throughout the site plus provide you with the best experience on any mobile, hand-held or desktop platform.
Our current beta 6 phase adds more informal discussion lobbies aimed at particular topics that are consistent with the area visited.
It also includes the development of blog pages and discussion forums for each area. These areas are now installed and we are just going through adding the final touches and testing.
But please stay tuned, because we have a lot more exciting ideas to regularly bring to you after that.
Am I able to participate in the site at all during this time?
Most definitely.
You are free to sign up now and create your profile and commence using each new feature as and when it comes on-line.
We look forward to meeting you and having you as a member right now.
How does the logo fit in with the purpose of this site?
The logo relates to the eight handgrips on a ship's wheel, because ultimate direction is determined by the degree of influence and control placed on any one of the eight points at any given time - with them all revolving around a ninth central or organizing point.
There are also nine specific points, or areas, that can influence your own personal course and direction and that of your business.
All nine areas are inter-connected on the wheel in the same way as all nine areas of our business and our life are inter-connected.
While all nine areas, or points on the wheel can be identified separately, they still all come together holistically to create the whole.
In our business and our life, we also need to be fully aware of and constantly mindful of the nine areas in each and how they also come together holistically to create the business that it now is and the person who we currently are.
This site will assist you to understand the importance of all of those areas in your business and your life and to learn how to identify and balance them to gain the maximum level of achievement, enjoyment and fulfilment from both.
What is a TripleTweat?
Well, it all started when we were getting a bit frustrated by trying to post thought provoking Tweets on Twitter and no matter how much we re-worded them, they still went over the 140 character limit.
In most cases we seemed to need around 300-400 characters - or nearly three Tweets.
So as much as we love Twitter and the whole concept of limiting Tweets to 140 characters, we thought it would also be nice to have a three Tweet "Tweet" - a Triple Tweet of up to 420 characters.
But what should we call it?
We certainly have no intention of crossing any Twitter trade marks or copyrights and Unilever make an ice cream known as a "TripleTreat" and we liked that name too, but we still had to come up with something unique for our 420 character posts.
So there you have it, the "TripleTweat" - the quick tweet-like post that you post when you want to treat readers to something short and meaningful but just need that extra bit of space to do it in.
Why do birds suddenly appear, every time you are near?
Just like me, they long to be, close to you.
